Travel receipts rebound by 7.3 pct in August, partly reflecting higher spending per trip
Greece's travel receipts rose by 7.3 percent in August, more than double the previous month’s rate of 3.5 percent, Bank of Greece (BoG) figures indicated on Thursday.
The absolute figures showed travel receipts stood at 3.4 billion in August with the corresponding payment up 10 percent to 214 million. As a result, the travel surplus improved by 7.1 percent reaching 3.18 billion in August from 2.97 billion last year.
