Hirings balance negative by 22,333 in January
The employment balance turned negative in January with 22,333 more departures than hirings for the month after December’s positive balance of 5,970, data from the Labour Ministry’s Ergani information system showed.
Compared to January 2018, there were 5,791 more departures than hirings. Ergani noted that the month of January has always displayed a negative balance since the series began in 2001, with the exception of 2014 when a positive balance was noted.
