Unemployment rate falls to 18 pct in Dec, lowest since July 2011
Greece’s seasonally adjusted (SA) unemployment rate continued its downward path in December and came to 18 percent after a slightly downward revised 18.3 percent in November, from 18.5 percent previously, Hellenic Statistical Authority’s (ELSTAT) data showed on Thursday.
In December 2017, the unemployment rate stood at 20.8 percent, following a small revision. Unemployment has been below 19 percent for five consecutive months. This is the lowest the unemployment rate has been since July 2011, when it was 17.8 percent.
