Greek deflation slows to 1.5 pct in January
The drop in Greece’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) slowed to 1.5 percent in January from 1.7 percent in December, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
On a monthly basis, the CPI eased 1.2 percent due to a double-digit drop (-15.1 percent) in clothing and footwear most likely reflecting the winter sales period that began in mid-January.
