Industrial turnover drops by 35.4 pct in April, hitting series low

April’s headline figure is the lowest reading in the series, surpassing the previous low of -31.6 percent noted in January 2009. 

The monthly performance was led by a 35.5 percent drop in manufacturing, followed by a decline of 31.4 percent in the mining and quarrying index.
