Construction slides again in May with fall of 8.7 pct YoY in building permits
Building permits continued their decline in May, falling by 8.7 percent, following a much sharper drop of 22.4 percent year-on-year (YoY) in April amidst the lockdown, according to Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) data released on Wednesday.
The total number of permits came to 1,339, going again above the 1,000-permit mark after they dropped to 973 in April. This was the lowest figure since January 2019, when the figure came to 853 permits.
