The postponement of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to the White House on May 9 is seen as a move that will likely upend efforts to mend ties after prolonged friction and that will play into the hands of Russia’s President Vladimir Putin. Ankara has not given any clear reason for this cancellation, which has caused concern in Athens.
