An uptick in the number of Covid-19 cases and deaths after a brief lull looks likely to put off any plans to end the national lockdown on December 7 as the opposition piles more pressure on the government.
On Tuesday, the number of registered coronavirus cases rose to 2,199, while another 111 deaths took the total to 2,517. There was a small fall in the number of intubated patients, which was reported at 596.
