Mitsotakis calls for no-confidence vote, hoping to exert more pressure on coalition
As rumoured on Wednesday, New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced that his party would be tabling a censure motion to Parliament on Thursday following the government’s announcement of the Macedonia name deal.
The decision by the conservative leader seems primarily aimed at drawing attention to what he believes are the weaknesses in the agreement with Skopje but also to underline Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’s isolation on this issue.
