Sept economic sentiment drops to early 2021 levels, consumer confidence down by 6.7 pts

Greece’s economic sentiment (ESI) reversed the latest rises and dropped below 100 points, to 98.3 in October, after a 3.7-point rise in September, according to European Commission figures released on Friday.

By the start of this year, economic sentiment had fully recovered from the decline during the pandemic. The values of around 114 reported in January and February this year were the highest of the series, but sentiment has been sliding since.
