Polls continue pointing to SYRIZA victory as new post-election scenarios emerge
Going into the last week of Greece’s election campaign little has changed in terms of what the opinion polls suggest will be the outcome of the January 25 vote (a SYRIZA win just short of a parliamentary majority) but new scenarios about what might happen after the elections are starting to emerge.
Three surveys published over the weekend put SYRIZA between 3 and 5 percentage points ahead of New Democracy but short of what would be needed to gain an absolute majority in the next Parliament (probably a minimum of around 36 percent).
