Greek gov't and Parliament on hold, waiting for cabinet reshuffle

It would be an exaggeration to say that the Greek government entered a state of paralysis following the May 25 European Parliament elections but it certainly appears that a number of key tasks have been put on hold as ministers wait for a cabinet reshuffle to take place before resuming normal service.

SYRIZA secured a clear and historic win in Sunday’s European Parliament elections in Greece but its failure to improve on its share of the vote from the 2012 general elections and a slightly better than expected showing from the PASOK-led Elia (Olive Tree) alliance means that the victory is unlikely to be enough to force an immediate national vote.
