Greek expats generating 9.1 bln in taxes abroad each year, study suggests

Following a recent Bank of Greece (BoG) study showing that 427,000 Greeks have emigrated since the beginning of 2018, Endeavor Greece has now estimated that the brain drain reached 350,000 over the same period.
According to a research provided by Endeavor, those individuals, who are typically highly educated, generate in the receiving countries (mainly Germany and the UK) an equivalent of 12.9 billion euros in GDP and 9.1 billion in taxes on an annual basis.
