Greece and Cyprus gain strategic weight amid Middle East turmoil

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East is highlighting the growing strategic importance of Cyprus and Greece within European and NATO security frameworks. During a joint message delivered on Monday from Cyprus, President Nikos Christodoulides, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasised the need for the “protection of European territory against any threat.”
