Athens is closely monitoring a draft Turkish law expected to be submitted to parliament in June that could formally codify Ankara’s long‑standing claims over maritime zones in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean.
The proposed 14‑article legislation - referred to in the Turkish media as the “Blue Homeland Law” - is viewed in Greece as an attempt to establish a domestic legal framework ahead of any future negotiations on maritime delimitation with Greece.
