ND poll losses reignite discussions of post-election coalition

Persistently negative poll figures in the aftermath of the deadly Tempe rail accident are forcing New Democracy officials to acknowledge the prospect of a coalition with one of the opposition parties after the upcoming elections.

Heated exchanges took place in Parliament’s Institutions and Transparency Committee on Monday, where lawmakers convened to hear evidence from past and present transport ministers over the circumstances of the crash which claimed 57 lives three weeks ago.
