Kyriakos Mitsotakis has moved to consolidate Greece’s position on the Great Sea Interconnector (GSI) following the visit of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Athens, presenting the project as strategically essential and fully aligned with Greek sovereign rights.
Speaking on Skai radio on Friday morning, the prime minister said Rubio’s presence underscored Greece’s role as an “indispensable strategic partner” in the Eastern Mediterranean at a moment of heightened geopolitical turbulence.
