Unemployment edges up for second consecutive quarter in Q1, reaches 26.6 pct

The non-seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate continued heading north for the second successive quarter to 26.6 percent in the first quarter (Q1) of 2015 from 26.1 in Q4 2014, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
The quarter on quarter (QoQ) deterioration was broadly expected since a similar trend is recorded in the first quarter of each year.
