Minor uptick in time deposit and average loan interest rate in June
Greek households’ new time deposit rate edged up by 1 basis point (bp) to 0.86 percent in June from 0.85 percent in May, Bank of Greece (BoG) data showed on Tuesday.
This was the first uptick, albeit marginal, for the time deposit rate in the course of 2016, which remains close to the historical low it recorded in May and stands almost 30 bps higher than the eurozone average rate of 0.57 percent.
