Budget primary surplus to Sept surges to 5.44 bln on solid tax revenues

Greece’s budget primary surplus surged by more than 77 percent to 5.44 billion euros in the 9-month period of 2016 from 2.27 billion a year ago, according to the Finance Ministry (MoF) final budget execution bulletin published on Monday.

The headline figure is marginally lower than the 5.45 billion euros in the preliminary bulletin published on October 14.
