Athens wary of North Macedonia PM's intentions, hopes for EU support over name issue

Greece will be monitoring the intentions and rhetoric of North Macedonia’s new Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski whose government received a vote of confidence from the country’s Parliament late on Sunday.

Addressing the House, Mickoski referred several times to the country as just Macedonia, not by its full constitutional name North Macedonia. He even claimed that the new name is shameful.
