The government’s decision to supply arms to Ukraine has prompted criticism from the main opposition party SYRIZA and other parties of the left about the nature and extent of Greece’s involvement in the conflict with Russia.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is expected to argue in Parliament that taking a more proactive stance puts the country “on the right side of history”, however questions have been raised about the manner in which the decision was taken.
