The government submitted to Parliament on Tuesday an amendment paving the way for the latest energy subsidy scheme to be launched in the coming weeks, a programme New Democracy hopes will assuage the public and win back some of the support it has lost over the last few months as the cost-of-living crisis has gripped Greek households.
