The meeting between Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and representatives of Greece’s farmers, scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at the Maximos Mansion, has collapsed after some of the protestors refused to take part.

What had been billed as a pivotal moment in efforts to resolve weeks of nationwide protests has instead deepened the confrontation, exposing divisions among farmers and leaving the government with few options.
