Meeting with farmers marks start of renewed effort to reach bailout review deal

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is due to meet with representatives of farming unions at noon on Monday to discuss their objections to the government’s plans for increases in tax and social security contributions.

It marks the beginning of the ramping up of efforts to achieve a settlement domestically and with Greece’s lenders so that the first bailout review can be concluded.
