Athens links extra measures with debt relief in search for review compromise

Talks between Greece and its lenders were due to resume in Athens on Tuesday, with the Greek side aiming for a Staff Level Agreement before Friday’s Eurogroup meeting.

The Greek government gave mixed messages about whether it is prepared to accept an extra 3 billion euros, roughly, in contingency measures on top of the 5.4 billion euros in fiscal interventions already being discussed to help seal the bailout review.
