Import prices end 2023 with 12.3 pct drop after 27.7 pct jump in 2022
Greece’s import price index remained in contraction in December, as it fell by 8.7 percent year-on-year (YoY), after dropping by 8.6 percent in November, according to data released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) on Wednesday.
The consecutive negative readings now stretch back for 11 months as February 2023 produced the first negative number since January 2021, and prices have been contracting since.
