Greek households most overburdened with housing costs in EU

With two in five of its population living in a household where total housing costs represented more than 40 percent of total disposable household income, Greece has by far the highest housing cost overburden rate in the EU, according to new EU-wide data.
The data also found that most Greeks (56.9 percent) live in flats, as opposed to homes (43.1 percent), the latter figure the fourth highest in the EU.
