Now comes the really hard part
One of the main reasons that Alexis Tsipras wanted to hold elections as soon as possible after agreeing the third bailout in August was that it gave him the best chance of obtaining a fresh mandate before the impact of the latest set of fiscal measures was felt by the average voter.

In Erdogan's shadow
Alexis Tsipras is reportedly preparing to travel to Turkey for talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has been bolstered by the surprise elections results on Sunday that gave his Justice and Development Party (AKP) an outright majority in Parliament after gaining almost 50 percent of the vote.
