Are you not entertained?
The tone of the day is celebratory for some. After eight years, myriad Eurogroup meetings that lasted until the early morning hours and hundreds of billion euros in loans, the eurozone is probably happy that it doesn’t have to spend any more time, energy and money on this small country at the corner of Europe that represents 2 percent of the total eurozone economy.

A moment to reflect, not celebrate
Well, the first thing to say is: Celebrate what? Until the recent devastating fire in Mati, on the outskirts on Athens, there was talk that the government was planning a grand event to mark Greece’s exit from its third adjustment programme on August 20. If anything, though, August 20 should be a moment for reflection, rather than celebration.

For better or worse: Greece's bailout exit deja vu
As Greece stands on the cusp of exiting the third, and final, of its painful bailouts, there is a discussion about the terms under which it is exiting and how they compare to the conditions that were on offer the last time the country was close to the MoU finishing line, about four years ago.

The tie that binds
A cringeworthy gathering full of symbolism but lacking any substance at the Zappeion hall in central Athens seemed a fitting way to mark the imminent conclusion of Greece’s final bailout and an agreement with the country’s lenders on debt relief.

About last night
The most tumultuous period in Greece’s modern history concluded in the middle of the night, with just a few usual suspects to share the moment on Twitter, a World Cup game being replayed on the television and the live stream of a Eurogroup press conference on the laptop screen.
